I knit up these sweet newborn baby hats over the weekend using circular knitting needles. The yarn I used is a hand spun, super soft and cushiony,
thick and thin merino in aquamarine blue. I added a ribbed brim to one and a purl accent to the other. They have been listed in my Etsy shop (propshop).

Ladybugs!
I made a new baby prop the other day and I think it turned out pretty cute. It’s a ladybug! I can’t keep my turtle props in stock, they sell as fast as I make them so I thought I’d try something a little different. I also want to try a bee. What do you think?
If you would like to buy one for a sweet baby in your life, just visit my shop http://www.propshop.etsy.com They are all 100% handmade by me, $38 plus shipping.
Christopher Turns 30
My super sweet nephew, Christopher, turned the big 3-0 recently and his girlfriend threw him a big party at The Perfect Pear in Bradford, Vermont. It was a lot of fun with a lot of great people.
My great niece Caitlin, her boyfriend Wyatt and my beautiful mom, Marilyn.
My wonderful sister, Valerie and me.
This picture cracks me up! My sister Val, my nephew Corey, my brother-in-law Keith and my great niece Caitlin.
And the guest of honor himself, Christopher. I love that boy!
Yummy!
I will be making this soon : )
The Rummage Sale
The annual rummage sale on Thursday was quite the event! I thought I was being so smart by getting there 30 minutes before the doors opened. When I got there, I could hardly believe my eyes…..the line was all the way to the street!! I grabbed my shopping bag and got in line with a magazine, reading as I waited for the doors to open. Once inside, it was very difficult to maneuver around with ALL those people. Despite the crowd, I found some really good deals including 3 sweet teacups, a 3-tiered hanging basket, 2 large blue glass jars with tops, a table runner, a white basket, and the best find of all, a gorgeous pink chenille bedspread with yellow flowers!!! I was praying I would find a chenille bedspread and I sure did hit the jackpot. It’s king sized and in perfect condition and was only $3!! My heart skipped a beat when I saw it and it was love at first sight. It’s so shabby chic. My plan was to make a bunch of pillows with it but I am finding it SO difficult to think about cutting into it. When I move, I only plan to have a full-size bed so my only other option would be to use it as a couch cover or to fold it up and keep it at the foot of my bed.

What would you do??
